Oh To Be Wise Meditations
This week I feel I being lead to talk about faith. Let’s spends a couple days understanding the gift of faith and what it really means to have it in God. There is so much error mixed with truth as I have learned it through the years. What I want to focus on for today is how God uses faith in him as a vehicle as well as our lack of faith. Everyone whom Jesus willed to be healed was healed. Sometimes He healed those who expressed their faith in Him, and He made a point of emphasizing the condition of their heart: “Your faith has made you well.” Other times, in His great mercy, He healed those who had no faith and later drew them to Himself. Faith isn’t something you can generate enough of and then good things happen. There is the law sowing and reaping but there many things that need to go right for a great harvest. A good environment, a good soil, a good season and even the right time to plant and reap. We cannot make things happen apart from the perfect will of God. What He says happens and our faith must align with him so we don’t throw off our blessings. So for today realize that faith is a gift and a vehicle that God uses to bring to the knowledge of Him and our salvation. It’s not magic fairy dust or magic words you speak. and faith only comes by hearing, hearing the word of God in your life. Scripture is there to learn of Jesus as he builds up our faith in him. Imagine what God can do in a life, in a city, and in a nation that believes in God. Faith in God will make nations wiser and with equity for all. People will grow in the grace of God and learn justice and mercy. All this because faith stirred and hearts were transformed. It’s a gift, faith in God is a prayer away. His Living Word is a building block for your life and society around you. Even in you unbelief God can draw you in unto himself. You just have to give yourself the opportunity to believe in Jesus Christ. Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us; f we are faithless, he remains faithful, for he cannot disown himself.
