Oh To Be Wise Meditations
LORD, you are my lamp; the LORD illuminates my darkness. You turn my darkness into light. I stumble in the darkness of my past mistakes, but you light a fire in me so I can begin to walk righteously. The LORD is my light and my salvation; I will fear no one. The LORD protects me from all danger; I will never be afraid. When evildoers come against me to devour my flesh, my foes and my enemies stumble and fall. My days of grief will come to an end. The LORD is my eternal light and more lasting than the sun and moon. His command is a lamp and their instruction a light; their corrective discipline is the way to life. The LORD's instruction is right; it makes our hearts glad. His commands shine brightly, and they give us light. I can't wait to see the radiance in your face, the glory that exudes from your presence. You broaden the path beneath me so that my ankles do not give way. Paving a way for me to walk in obedience and faith. Keep steady my steps according to your promise, and let no iniquity get dominion over me. Look on me and answer, LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death, and my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall. I rely on your constant love; I will be glad, because you will rescue me. I will sing to the LORD because he is good to me. I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.
