Oh To Be Wise Meditations

In certain ways we are weak, but the Spirit is here to help us. All of our thoughts are known to God. He can understand what is in the mind of the Spirit, as the Spirit prays for God's people. For example, when we don't know what to pray for, the Spirit prays for us in ways that cannot be put into words. When you pray, don't talk on and on as people do who don't know God. They think God likes to hear long prayers. Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! He knows the motives and intents of the heart, the things that you long and truly desire. Words often get in the way of our hearts pouring out to God. Allow Holy Spirit to intercede in your life. You need more of Holy Spirit, more of the living word than your necessary food. More than the necessary physical thing you are asking for. Yes, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him. What your facing today, that you have no words for or even can begin to comprehend how you will survive this. Remember this: The LORD is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from his land. He listens to the longings of those who suffer. He offers them hope, and pays attention to their cries for help. The LORD brings justice to the orphans and to the oppressed, so mere people can no longer terrify them. I trust in the LORD for protection, He hears me in my silence and delivers me from all my fears.
