Oh To Be Wise Meditations

The sleep of working people is sweet, whether they eat a little or a lot. But the full stomachs that rich people have will not allow them to sleep. It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones. We are merely moving shadows, and all our busy rushing ends in nothing. We heap up wealth, not knowing who will spend it. In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety. You have filled my heart with more joy than when grain and new wine abound. Light shines on the righteous and joy on the upright in heart. My life will be brighter than the noonday. Even darkness will be as bright as morning. I rest in Christ knowing that I do not labor for salvation. My works is a light reflecting back to God giving Him his due glory. I rest in the promises of God knowing I will awake to see my dreams come true in Jesus. He is my dreams come true.
