Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Think about freedom like this. People from all over the world flock to America for freedom. Freedom to live and move and have their being. But how should they live when they get here? Well, if you come from nothing and have the great opportunity to live in America, you should work hard to take advantage of the freedom America offers. Building a life full of dreams and success. But many actually don’t use the American dream for anything but selfish reasons. Instead they do nothing with their freedom and become privileged. Instead of using freedom for growth and change it has becomes a crutch to lean on and stunt there growth. Some citizens have been born in the USA and live in slavery to there own wicked and evil desires. Freedom is not cheap and it cost a lot of blood, sweat and tears. With each passing generation there has to be a honoring of American values that have brought us such prosperity and blessing. So what will you do with such freedom? That is the question you must ask yourself. It the same thing with our freedom bought and paid for in Jesus. We are citizens of heaven here on earth? How should we live? Live as people who are free, not using your freedom as a cover-up for evil, but living as servants of God. Respect everyone, and love the family of believers. Fear God, and respect the king. You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you reap leads to holiness, and the outcome is eternal life. How blessed is the nation who God is the LORD! They thrive from obeying his laws and living out his truths!
