Oh To Be Wise Meditations
What I lack in understanding the LORD gives more grace to me! His power is made perfect in my weakness. When I remain humble God shows up with all his glory. His grace for every situation is what I need, that is why Christ's love is so perfecting. Day by day the righteous grow stronger inwardly even if outwardly things are still difficult. Hear the LORD say “Don’t be afraid for you are very precious to God. Peace! Be encouraged!" Be strong! As you hear the Living Word of God being spoken to you in your heart you become stronger in faith. Say to the LORD Jesus, "Please speak to me, my lord, for you have strengthened me.” When we need understanding we also need the grace to receive it. Do you doubt the Scriptures that say, "God truly cares about the Spirit he has put in us"? In fact, God treats us with even greater kindness, just as the Scriptures say, "God opposes everyone who is proud, but he blesses all who are humble with undeserved grace." Surrender to God! Resist the devil, and he will run from you. Come near to God, and he will come near to you. Clean up your lives, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you people who can't make up your mind. Be sad and sorry and weep. Stop laughing and start crying. Be gloomy instead of glad. Be humble in the Lord's presence, and he will honor you. Praise God! He does not take his eyes off the righteous; he enthrones them with kings and exalts them forever. With more humility comes more grace in your time of need. Help me to understand LORD Jesus. Give me understanding.
