Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Build up your day in prayer. Start early in the morning. Set the tone for your heart and be softened by the Spirit of Christ. There are so many influencing factors through out the day that try to deter us from the Will and purposes of God. That is why we must continual build up the day in purposeful prayer. Things may come out of nowhere and we must be ready to realign and pray specifically to the attacks of the enemy. Unless the LORD builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the LORD protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good. It is useless for you to work so hard from early morning until late at night, anxiously working for food to eat; for God gives rest to his loved ones. Your day will become useless caring only about the things of this world and the interests of yourself. In vain will you go about your day restless about things only God can control. Never entering the rest God promises daily in Christ. But if we build up our day in prayer and supplication, by evening we will end with a crescendo prayer. A gradual increase of praise to God for Him working through us throughout the day because of our consistency in prayer. There is a blessing from Praying in the Spirit at all times, and that is the building of your heart, your time, and your faith. No matter what the day brings you have prepared it with prayer. Nothing can stop you your going all the way up to Gods presence daily and nothing can keep you from His Throne room.
