Oh To Be Wise Meditations
I see a river that flows with spirit and life from heaven to earth. Look, there is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts. The Spirit of Christ woos humanity to flow with heavens current. But people fight against the Holy Spirit and reject the pleasures and peace of him. They fight against the strong pull of God love and purpose found in the Gospel, and resist the gift of faith in God. Many have walked away from their faith but still even in such a far away place from God in there hearts the river of God can be found. For if I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to hell, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. The river of God can meet any one any where and at any time. When Jesus ascended to heaven he gave the us the greatest gift of all, the gift of Holy Spirit. We can have that same river that flows in the Heavenly Kingdom here on earth and in our hearts and minds. Don't fight against the currents of Gods love for you. His love is like a hurricane, stirring the waters to bring you closer to his throne, his heart. Oh I pray that you would be taken captive by the current of Gods love and allow yourself to to be taken to his Holy and Beautiful Presence. Stop swimming away with your stubbornness and pride and you will spiritual float into Gods presence. Oh LORD lead to me to the cool of day where your Presence is always. Yes, there in your throne room is still waters. Be still my soul and know Jesus is LORD!
