Oh To Be Wise Meditations

It takes hard work to come to terms with the past. And not just saying you are but actually facing those skeletons in the closet. Its leaving the altar and going to find your neighbor and reconciling your relationship with him. Its accepting your mistakes and owning up to them. Its forgetting the former things and not dwelling on the past so you can face the future with hope. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. The hard work is a lighter yoke when we allow Jesus to work all things together for our good. Dealing with our past we are not to repay anyone evil for evil. Allowing God to bring his justice for the past. Also, respect what is right in the sight of all people. Even if it embarrassing and humbling, better to start with a clean slate. The past always comes haunting if we never come to terms with it and face it. God in Christ is great at making all things new. Lets trust in his presence working to reconcile our past. He is able to fix our broken past and give us a new life to live for him.
