Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Sin is not your Master. You don’t have to be a slave to the voice of shame and sorrow. For guilt to move you away from what is good and godly. You can stay and live in Gods presence but not as a slave to sin but as a slave to righteousness. Its a light yoke on a narrow way, different from sin and evil where you carry heavy burdens that lead to open road destruction. Jesus wants to be LORD and master so that sin will not reign in our mortal bodies. The Spirit of Christ comes inside of a believer rescues them from the dead works of sin. Fruitful desires like patience, hope, and love begin to free the heart from wicked and destructive desires. The heart and mind of Jesus we start to emulate and live out saving us from evil ruining our lives. Every human being needs a Master and LORD. No matter if you believe in God or not. The desire to only please yourself makes you a slave to every wicked desire in this world. You can may resist for awhile, but even things that are amoral you will selfishly start to use for your own will and purpose. We need a Savior and LORD to be able to not live as a slave. The more control we want in life the more bondage ourselves with the cares of this world and careless people. Think about this: There are people who want there own truth and despise your truth. They want you to be a slave to their own desires and for you to submit to their truths. The only way to truly not wrap yourself with the cords of confusion and judgment is to submit to the LORDship of Christ. Allow Him to make you a slave
to righteousness. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. Jesus becomes Master over your life and sin and shame start to lose there voice in your life. Even in willful sin you are still able to see the error of your way and ask God in Christ to forgive you and transform you. But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the fruit you reap leads to holiness, and the outcome is eternal life. For in Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set you free from the law of sin and death. Jesus says: Sin shall not have dominion over you: for you are not under the law, but under grace. O LORD, I am your servant; yes, I am your servant, born into your household; you have freed me from my chains. Make Jesus LORD and Master over your life today. Hear the voice of Jesus speaking louder than your guilt and shame.
