Oh To Be Wise Meditations

This morning in prayer and meditation with some of my brothers, one of them shared about being a cornerstone for our jobs, our homes, our communities. I thought this was so powerful because Jesus our chief cornerstone. He is the foundation of our faith, the author and finisher of our faith, and his very presence in us gives us faith and perseverance. We are to be imitators of you Jesus, help us to be cornerstones of faith for those in our lives. We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check. Only Jesus is perfect and He never stumbles or falls. Let us be filled with the Spirit of Christ and be that strong foundation of encouragement to lift up those that have fallen into sin and can't get up. Starting in 1 Peter 2:7 Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,” and, “A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.” They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. I am part of your chosen people LORD Jesus. Together, we are your house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is you Christ Jesus. We are carefully joined together in you, becoming a holy temple for you Lord. Built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. Lets be cornerstones as we are set on such great foundations of faith.
