Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Darkness is so pervasive. Its sneaks up on the light that we have and its hard to see what's in front of us. Even with a bright flashlight we are limited to what we can see. We need everything illuminated so that we can truly see our surroundings. Our hearts very easily can get dim and darkness take our Light that Jesus died to give us. We must keep our hearts in the Light and not let darkness steal our joy, spirit and life. The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light. But when your eye is unhealthy, your whole body is filled with darkness. And if the light you think you have is actually darkness, how deep that darkness is! Many of us are in deep darkness and don't realize it. Sin has captured us and leaving us with a little light under the bed to satisfy our itch. We need Christ light shining in us to be able to expel the darkness. In his presence is fullness of joy! Lets get out from under our beds sleeping in the sins slumber. And make it a point every day to be in presence of Jesus daily. In his light we can hold back darkness from covering our hearts and minds. Meditate this: Darkness is so pervasive, you don't realize how deep you have gone into something. Losing grip on reality. Its like ocean currents slowly and violently taking you a dark whirlpool of sin. Then drowns you in guilt and despair, shame and regret. Lift your hands up to Jesus in the midst of this watery darkness. He walks on dark waters and will lift you up to walk on the light of the horizon. Jesus is the Sun of Righteousness and he shines on dark waters. Come to the light today and seek his presence.
