Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don’t have. Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless, like chasing the wind. God gives some people wealth, possessions and honor, so that they lack nothing their hearts desire, but God does not grant them the ability to enjoy them, and strangers enjoy them instead. This is meaningless, a grievous evil. Listen to King Solomons wisdom: Anything my eyes desired, I did not deny myself. I refused my heart no pleasure. For my heart took delight in all my work, and this was the reward for all my labor. But as I looked at everything I had worked so hard to accomplish, it was all so meaningless, like chasing the wind. There was nothing really worthwhile anywhere. Amen. The desires of this world lead us to nothing. The passion dissipates into thin air because there is no substance to it. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. The Wind of Holy Spirt and the desires of righteousness flows from the Presence of God who sustains all things. The Filling of Holy Spirit is like catching wind rather than chasing it.
