Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Oh Jesus, purify all that is not holy in me so that I reflect all the beauty of your righteousness. For you LORD take pleasure in your people; you adorn the afflicted with salvation. Your statutes, LORD, stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days. O LORD, the God of vengeance, O God of vengeance, let your glorious justice shine forth! The LORD, the Mighty One, is God, and he has spoken; he has summoned all humanity from where the sun rises to where it sets. From Mount Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines in glorious radiance. How great is the LORD, how deserving of praise, in the city of our God, which sits on his holy mountain! It is high and magnificent; the whole earth rejoices to see it! Mount Zion, the holy mountain, is the city of the great King! God is in her citadels; he has shown himself to be her fortress. Jesus be my fortress and my strength. Make your temple in me and fill me with your holy presence. I want to be holy as you are holy. For you oh God have not called us to impurity, but to a holiness that is dedicated and set apart by behavior that pleases Him, whether in public or in private. The beauty of His Righteousness in me cannot be hidden but is like a shining city on a hill for all to awe at the wonder of Christs love and mercy!
