Oh To Be Wise Meditations
So God has given both his promise and his oath. Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us. This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary. Jesus has already gone in there for us. He has become our eternal High Priest in the order of Melchizedek. Amen. Thank you LORD for making yourself bound to us by promise and by oath. You never lie and we can trust that we are chosen, saved, and sealed. You shed your blood Jesus to secure our salvation. Nothing can separate us from your love and mercy. I will find my joy and hope in your faithfulness, power, and love.
