Proverbs of 40 yr old man

The heart of the wise is in the house of mourning, but the heart of fools is in the house of pleasure. A wise person thinks a lot about death, while a fool thinks only about having a good time. How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes. Death comes for us all, are you going to be ready for it? How is that not the important question in your life? We get so busy profiting in this world that we forget to save our souls for eternity! Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me though he dies yet shall he live again. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Only two things last forever: the Word of God and the souls of people. Everything else is fading away along with the evil desires of this world. For the living know that they will die, but the dead know nothing. They have no further reward, because the memory of them is forgotten.

There is no remembrance of those who came before, and those yet to come will not be remembered by those who follow after. All of us must die eventually. Our lives are like water spilled out on the ground, which cannot be gathered up again. But God does not just sweep life away; instead, he devises ways to bring us back when we have been separated from him. Thank you, Jesus for the Cross. It remains me of death daily and I must die daily to your will and purposes for my life. And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him.
