Eden in our hearts. Eden was suppose to be in our hearts. A garden of Gods care and maintenance, but sin captured it and brought total chaos and fear. Weeds of insecurity began to sprout, while thorns and thistles of selfishness began to grow. God before sin, provided the water and nutrients for your heart to thrive in righteousness. But because of sin, humanity needs to till the soil of their own hearts and clean out the weeds choking the good fruit that is in their lives. Yes, having to work hard and sweat to make the soil of your heart produce anything good, until you go back to the soil from which you were formed. You were made from soil, and you will become soil again. Then the LORD God said, "Now these human beings have become like one of us and have knowledge of what is good and what is bad. They must not be allowed to take fruit from the tree that gives life, eat it, and live forever." A devious snake has crawled into the garden of every human heart leaving behind the venom of death. God saw this enmity humanity had with the snake, and sent his Son Jesus to strike the head while the snake struck his heel. Killing the snake and removing the venom of sin and death. God in Christ is now restoring Eden to humanity's heart. His winnowing fork is in his hand clearing the threshing floor of our hearts. Gathering precious wheat into his barn and burning up its chaff with unquenchable fire of Holy Spirit. Praise God, Jesus has brought Eden to our hearts. Study Is. 51:3
