Proverbs of a 37 yr old man

Our actions, like our words, are important to God. At work, we should not cheat other people. We must be fair. In a shop, a kilo or pound weight should be accurate. If we use false measurements, we lie to our customers. We should be honest. The LORD detests double standards; he is not pleased by dishonest scales. Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out. In the same way, the good deeds of some people are obvious. And the good deeds done in secret will someday come to light. Look, the sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless: “Who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning?” Those who walk righteously and speak what is right, who reject gain from extortion and keep their hands from accepting bribes, who stop their ears against plots of murder and shut their eyes against contemplating evil. They are the ones who will dwell on the heights, whose refuge will be the mountain fortress. Their bread will be supplied, and water will not fail them. With their own eyes they will see the glorious King; they will see his kingdom reaching far and wide.
