Proverbs of a 37 yr old man

I took offense. I was annoyed and became resentful, brought about by a perceived insult. Yes, an utter disregard to standards and principles. Feelings were hurt because of rudeness and lack of respect. I am offended and it is harder to win me back than a fortified city. Arguments separate friends like a gate locked with bars. I must let patience yield it's perfect wisdom and pursue healing retribution from Christ. For it is to his glory alone that we are to overlook an offense. Blessed is the one who is not offended by the Gospel of Jesus. What sorrow awaits the world, because it tempts people to sin. Temptations are inevitable, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting. But do not remain offended and harbor evil in your heart. If you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins. God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. The blessed soul will grow fat and an accursed one will again be cursed. Peter came up to the Lord and asked, "How many times should I forgive someone who does something wrong to me? Is seven times enough?" This is not a number for us to calculate. Rather it means that there is no limit. God forgave us so much and we ought to forgive each other. So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin. If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.” This is a hard teaching, but say to the LORD with honest tears, "Increase my ability to confidently trust in you and in your power!
