Proverbs of a 37 yr old man

Sometimes God says no and keeps you in the refiner's fire. He leaves you in the furnace of suffering so that you come out more fashioned in the image of Christ. He does this because of who He is. God refuses to be defiled or share his glory with the idols in your life. Because Jesus knows the road on which humans travel, when he has tested us, we come out like pure gold. Sometimes God says no so that you can be refined, purified and made spotless. A beautifully carved reflection from the cornerstone Himself Jesus Christ, who is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the great refiner and enters the fire of trial with us. Look to Him now through the heat waves of fiery trial, and have comfort in seeing no wasted time or smoke. Yes, listen to Him as He points to his nail pierced hands saying, I have your soul in the palm of my hand. Burn, Holy Spirit, Burn!
