Destroyed without remedy. If you keep being stubborn after many warnings, you will suddenly discover you have gone too far. You have refused the call of repentance and did not take the outstretched hand of mercy. Disregarding all godly advice and rejecting the correction offered. Therefore disaster will overtake you in an instant; you will suddenly be destroyed without remedy. What the wicked dread will overtake them; what the righteous desire will be granted. When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation. Woe to those who continue to mock God's messengers, despising his words and scoffing at his prophets. Kindling a judgment until the wrath of the LORD is aroused and there is no remedy. Jesus is the remedy for a stubborn and backslidden heart. Only in Him can rebellion be quenched in the sinful hearts of humanity. If we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover our sins. No remedy, no cure for the lost and guilty soul. Only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Tremble oh my soul, just at the thought of dying in my own sins. Yes, destroyed both body and soul beyond remedy! Your forgiveness oh LORD is healing to my soul!
