Proverbs of a 37 yr old man
I found you at last! Its really you. Here touch my face, touch my side that was torn, and touch my nail pierced hands. The journey here was worth it to be able to raise you from death to life! My child, I long to hold you in my arms like a mother hen holds her chickens. Alas, I found you! Rest in my neck for a little, let me sing songs of deliverance over you. Let me clothe you with the finest of heavens linens for my Righteousness is as white as snow. I revealed myself to those who did not ask for me; I was found by those who did not seek me. To a nation that did not call on my name, I said, "Here am I, here am I.' All day long I opened my arms to a rebellious people. But they follow their own evil paths and their own crooked schemes. You were lost but now are found. Raising your hand out of the miry pit of your sins, yes I found you reaching for mercy and grace! I gave my life to get you out of your sins and into the marvelous light of eternity. Rejoice, rejoice and again I say rejoice. Suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn't she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.' In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Whoever finds me finds life and obtains my favor. ( Please read todays meditation as a preamble to this Proverb meditation.)
