Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

Learn from others. No person has enough wisdom to make all their own decisions and get them right every time. Accept the truth that we cannot make it through life unaided. The sensible person will seek to learn from others, even if advice is given in the form of correction. The ignorant fool can learn by seeing others punished; and sensible people learn by being instructed. Yes, sometimes wisdom hurts, but it must be followed if it is right. The wise person looks for wise counselors and then listens to what they say. They can help make sense out of chaos, bring perspective from confusion, and help put one's feet on solid ground. The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on ignorance and folly. And remember above all, when learning from others; wisdom will never violate Scripture.
