Proverbs of a 38 yr old man
Evil people earn an empty wage that last for the moment, but the godly are building on a reward that will last forever. Yes, death is like a wage for the person who does evil things. But God gives us life that will last always, through Jesus. Death and hell are the punishments for our evil actions. So we must not do evil things. Instead, we should serve God. And we should ask God to forgive us. God wants us to trust him. God’s love is like a free gift. God offers real life. We shall not die. We shall live always with him, in heaven. This is the best invitation. We must make our choice. We can be wise, or we can be foolish. Make the right decision! God wants us all to learn to be wise as we build our lives up in his eternal riches and glory. For sin pays its wage: death; but God's free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord. Even now the one who harvests is already receiving their wages and gathering a crop for eternal life, so that the one who sows and the one who harvests may rejoice together. Jesus will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good, seeking after the glory and honor and immortality that God offers. And so God makes it possible for you and us to stand firmly together with Christ. God is also the one who chose us and set his seal of ownership on us. Putting his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. A wicked heart says show me the money now, give me my inheritance now! But the righteous will bear fruit with the down payment they have already been given. They are building upon a lasting and enduring salvation.
