Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

Seduction. I think of the character Poison Ivy in the Batman movies. Able to seduce people and control them by the power of charm and influence. Then would come the kiss of death hidden in sin's beauty. Oh, how seduction works slithery but promptly through the hearts of people. Listen to the wisdom of Solomon: I discovered that a seductive woman is a trap more bitter than death. Her passion is a snare, and her soft hands are chains. Those who are pleasing to God will escape her, but sinners will be caught in her snare. Now remember the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, Yes, has God said, You shall not eat of every tree of the garden? That is seduction at its finest working through the enemy our souls himself. For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall show signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. Daily we are all being seduced by all kinds of evil. In this world people commit adultery with their eyes, and their desire for sin is never satisfied. They lure unstable people into sin, and they are well trained in greed. They live under God’s curse. They don't consider the path of life and there ways are always unstable. The power of seduction is real. All of us also lived among them at one time, fulfilling the cravings of our flesh and indulging its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature children of wrath. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved! And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. Warning: Don’t lust for sin's beauty. Don’t let her coy glances seduce you. For if you continue to prostitute yourself to sin it will bring you to eternal poverty, and not keeping yourself from being stained from the world will cost you your life.
