Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

So do not corrupt yourselves by making an idol in any form, whether of a man or a woman, an animal on the ground, a bird in the sky, a small animal that scurries along the ground, or a fish in the deepest sea. And when you look up into the sky and see the sun, moon, and stars, all the forces of heaven, don’t be seduced into worshiping them. The LORD your God gave them to all the peoples of the earth. But God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Hear the LORD say: They are my people, I created each of them to bring honor to me. Could it be, like Lucifer in heaven iniquity was found in our hearts? We worship ourselves and try to find meaning without a God and Creator? God has given us free will to chose what image we will reflect. My body, my choice is what the natural bent of a sinner is. We need God in us to be able to survive the iniquity in our hearts that leads to total sin and depravity! To our very core we need someone to emulate, someone to worship, someone to reflect our image through. Its in our very nature to become what we give our hearts to. That is why idolatry is so dangerous to the Christian life, we become an idol to ourselves and dishonor the very God who made us. For God knew his people in advance, and he chose them to become like his Son, so that his Son would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory. Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. This message was kept secret for centuries and generations past, but now it has been revealed to God’s people. For God wants both Jew and Gentile to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for all! And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
