Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

The water runs dry. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God makes a home for the lonely; He leads out the prisoners into prosperity, Only the rebellious dwell in a dry and parched land. Yes, sin eventually saps the soul and runs everything dry in your life. What you once enjoyed secretly now even openly it's repulsive to you. The lamps of sinful people soon are snuffed out leaving their tents dark, passion and desire will not sustain a restless heart. Their powerful legs become weak, and they stumble on schemes of their own doing. Before they know it they are trapped in a net hidden along the path. Terror strikes and pursues from every side. Starving, they run, only to meet disaster, then afterwards to be eaten alive by death itself. Those sinners are dragged from the safety of their tents to die a gruesome death. Then their tents and possessions are burned to ashes, and they are left like trees, dried up from the roots. They are gone and forgotten, thrown far from the light into a world of darkness, without any children to carry on their name. Everyone, from east to west, is overwhelmed with horror. They will say, '‘This was the home of a wicked person, the place of one who rejected God.'' You need living water that never runs dry and that is only found in Jesus Christ our LORD. Without him a dry and weary life that leads to destruction is certain. He gives water that lubricates the soul and wells in deep in the belly of our hearts. Have faith in him, and you will have life-giving water flowing from deep inside you, just as the Scriptures says. Jesus is talking about the Holy Spirit, who is given to everyone that has faith in him. The water of Holy Spirit never runs dry.
