Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
Stormy days. There will be stormy days up ahead. When the clouds become thick with anger as if they are upset with you and want to pour out there frustrations. Look! The thunder and lightning always comes when it rains. And the wind picks up as if trouble is stirring all around you with no way out. You try not to get wet but the rain finds it’s way to you. Through the window, through the open door, through the leaky walls of your heart. Shelter is hard to find if you have not prepared yourself for the stormy days. It is not safe to be out in the open during a dangerous thunderstorm. Judgment comes for anyone foolishly taking the power of the sky lightly. Have reverence and honor for such holy danger. The rebellious loves torrential rain. It reminds them of the freedom they always want to have but never are able to grasp. The stormy rain is cold like their tears as they struggle to find peace from the storms of life. Terror strikes like a storm and calamity comes like a whirlwind. Distress and anguish come upon them. They have no one to call out to because they don't believe in God.
We as lovers of Christ must find shelter from the storms of life in the presence of God. Jesus is a sun and a shield for those stormy days of life. Storms come and go but the Light of Heaven always comes to restore what has been tossed to and FRO. The LORD is the one who sends the rain in our lives. For those who are prepared and cultivate a heart and life for Jesus. You will soon reap what you have sown in faith, yes faith in Son of God. Who died and gave his life for you to have eternal life. Life everlasting where storms will soon pass away forever and He himself will be a Light for his people forever. When the storms of life come, the wicked are whirled away, but the godly have a lasting foundation.
