How important is a filter? Just think what could go down a drain and ruin your pipe system if you had no filter over it. At least you can catch small things that can get bigger over time with a drain filter. That's how planks in your eye get bigger and bigger, you forgot your filter in the word of God. Spending time in his presence allows Holy Spirit to clear the drain in our hearts of sin and muck. But just think how build up has happened on hearts that haven't been filtered in awhile. Its like what Jesus said about our eyes: “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! If your are not regularly filtering your heart with God daily how bright is the light in you really? Has darkness overcome your light? What a relief when a drain is loose and living water flows again straight to the heart. You are to filter daily in Christ. If not, Your spiritual eyes will get clogged in sin bringing you slowly but surely to spiritual blindness. You will be the blind leading the blind. Keep your eyes filtered in Christ so the light of heaven shines straight down to the bottom of your heart leaving no darkness. Praise God! The LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are weighed down. The LORD loves the righteous.
