Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

I see a tree beaten down by the storms of life. It lays just above the rivers of water, not sunken in but able to stand on its side. Leaning tall and strong, but still of good purpose for all kinds of birds and animals to rest awhile. Look how the birds raises there wings to the sky in praise! Look at the alligator how he rests in a safe place! Yes, we who are connected to Christ have strong branches able to weather the storms of life and comfort those who have no one shelter to confide in. Oh how beautiful to see the weary soul find its rest in the body of Christ! We are useful for the Kingdom. God knows how to use broken and beaten down things for his glory. We are pressed down but never left abandoned. Praise God, for we are like trees whose roots reach the living water, and whose branches are refreshed with the dew of heaven.
