Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

Rehab of the heart. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. It is Gods kindness that leads to repentance and brokenness. Praise God! You realize your need for Jesus and the power of Holy Spirit in your life. Right there is the place to begin the rehabilitation of our hearts. From this place God can work and move in your heart and life. As we continue to seek Him and know Him our hearts are being transformed and strengthen from faith to faith. But like any physical rehab, its takes dedication and hard work. Our hearts need consistency and fervor so that we can avoid the hardening of our hearts. Many times we want to give up or become complacent where we are at in our walk of faith. Over time if we do not put in the hard work of pursing Christ and keeping with our spiritual disciplines. We can get a hardened heart towards God. Similar to a frozen joint or shoulder that was surgically repaired, but was not rehabbed enough and becomes stiff. The shoulder joint is enclosed in a capsule of connective tissue. And frozen shoulder occurs when this capsule thickens and tightens around the shoulder joint, restricting its movement. If you don't consistently rehab a broken shoulder it will harden and will need to be broken again. Same with our hardened hearts, if we are not consistently pursing and moving towards Christ our hearts become hardened away from His Presence. You will need to be broken again and it hurts more every time as peoples consciences and prides get numb to the life giving gift of repentance. So many people live there lives with broken parts on there bodies even though they have the money and the doctor to help them recover. There are also so many who don't have any access to healthcare and wish they had the money to afford health care and healing. God in Christ has provided freely for everyone a new heart and life through the Cross. He was broken for us so that we might have new life. Let his love for you break down your heart and let him transform you from the inside out. He is making all things new in you, stay the course and trust in the process of sanctification by faith. He is building up a strong heart in you, fighting off spiritual atrophy that can build up in your mind because of sin and evil. Continue to pursue relationship with Jesus and he will rehab your heart daily as you grow in faith and works. You were meant to run with a strong heart in faith and not grow weary, yet so many live with frozen hearts and minds stuck in sin and shame.
