Lucky is for those who aren’t even trying. We may throw the dice, but the LORD determines how they fall. Many have fallen asleep and by the mercy of God have been stirred awake. But there are those at the feet of Jesus daily that know that they know. They have persevered through every season and have this confidence about them in Christ. When you work hard at your faith and discipline and you know that’s it’s God working through you. It’s no luck that brings success or opportunity. No, it’s the peaceable fruit of righteousness that has been born in you through your diligence in pursuing Jesus. He has a become a tree of life in you that sustains and gives you the power for life and godliness. Your fruit bore in you through the fire of affliction and fire of Holy Spirit. It’s not just luck as the world gives. It is a peace that God gives that the world has never understood. Your faith in God is true blessing and favor. Luck is ill gotten gain and the spoils of the world. A faithful man will abound with blessings, but whoever hastens to be rich will not go unpunished. Faith is a holy residual spiritual presence that comes from the life and power of God in Christ. Here is something else I have learned: The fastest runners and the greatest heroes don't always win races and battles. Wisdom, intelligence, and skill don't always make you healthy, rich, or popular. We each have our own share of misfortune. Time and chance happen to us all. But praise God those who live by faith know that Jesus works all things together for there good, for those who are called according to his purpose. They have put the hard work of pursuing Him and are living the blessed life of knowing Him.
