Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

God looks at the heart. For from the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, all sexual immorality, theft, lying, and slander. These are what defile you. Think about this: The LORD made you and me in his image. He knows how our bodies work and move and how the blood is life to our bodies. In a healthy person, the liver, kidney, and lungs already cleanse and detoxify the blood. The liver plays the most significant role in cleansing the blood. A healthy liver not only filters toxins and unwanted byproducts from the blood but also pulls nutrients from it to deliver to the body. If the LORD knows how our bodies work, how much more our hearts which is connected to Him through the Holy Spirit? He searches the heart and tests the mind, rewarding each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve. All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit. So do not boast so proudly, or let arrogance come from your mouth, for the LORD is a God who knows, and by Him actions are weighed. He is constantly trying to draw out the impurities from our hearts like a spiritual goldsmith. Till our hearts of faith are as pure as gold in his hands. Look how he uses suffering and affliction. He rescues those who suffer. For he gets our attention through adversity. Opening ears to correction and commands that we may turn from iniquity. Blessed is the one whom God corrects; so do not despise the discipline of the Almighty. God's word is alive and powerful! It is sharper than any double-edged sword. His word can cut through our spirits and souls and through our joints and marrow, until it discovers the desires and thoughts of our hearts. While Jesus was here on earth, he offered prayers and pleadings, with a loud cry and tears, to the one who could rescue him from death. And God heard his prayers because of his deep reverence for God. Even though Jesus was God’s Son, he learned obedience from the things he suffered. In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him. Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as Israel did in the rebellion. The Spirit of Christ wants to guard our hearts and minds above all else for He knows it determines the course of our lives. God looks at the heart, and He is creating in you a clean heart. Renewing a right spirit within you.
