Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
To learn things after the fact is for the youth and the ignorant. The youth pursue youthful lusts that capture so many young people. How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to the living word.
Remove grief and anger from your heart and put away pain from your body, because childhood and the prime of life are fleeting. Now the ignorant are destroyed because of lack of knowledge. Darkened in their understanding from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, due to their hardness of heart. Praise the LORD, the times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness. Jesus was raised from the dead as our assurance of eternal life. This is why godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked. The righteousness are ever learning each time they fall and becoming stronger in faith. They are growing from there ignorance and youth, from their folly and bad mistakes. Gaining wisdom that will stand the test of time. Let the wise hear and increase in learning, and the one who understands obtain guidance. For if we confess our sins, Jesus is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Let's do our best to know the LORD. His coming is as certain as the morning sun; he will refresh us like rain renewing the earth in the springtime. Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God. There are people who should know better by now. Foolishness brings joy to one without sense, but a person with understanding walks a straight path.
