Proverbs of a 40 yr. old man

A person who argues is like the dripping of a leaky roof in a rainstorm; restraining them is like restraining the wind or grasping oil with the hand. Do everything without complaining and arguing, so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people. Amen. We should try not to upset our spouses or dear loved ones in our lives. Some people are always arguing because they are never satisfied. But a good spouse or friend is calm. Gently teaching loved ones when they are wrong. Work hard at this so people can learn to be content. You use an iron tool to make another iron tool sharper. So, one person improves another. Friendship is good. Friends should encourage each other. They should help each other. And they should teach each other about God. The LORD says, “Rebuild the road! Clear away the rocks and stones so my people can return from captivity.” The high and lofty one who lives in eternity, the Holy One, says this: “I live in the high and holy place with those whose spirits are contrite and humble. I restore the crushed spirit of the humble and revive the courage of those with repentant hearts. Amen. Let us help each other and build each other in the power of the Gospel.
