Gold there is, and rubies in abundance, but lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel. Our sense of values are all wrong today. A person is measured by material things. rather than by the knowledge he has. Wisdom makes rich the heart of man. Even the poor are rich when wisdom is available to them. Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves those who have it. Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do! And whatever else you do, develop good judgment. All wisdom comes from the LORD, and so do common sense and understanding. God gives helpful advice to everyone who obeys him and protects those who live as they should. God sees that justice is done, and he watches over everyone who is faithful to him.
Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair, and you will find the right way to go. For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will fill you with joy. Wise choices will watch over you. Understanding will keep you safe. Wisdom will save you from evil people, from those whose words are twisted. The fool delights in shameful conduct, but a man of understanding has wisdom. Wisdom is so precious. The wisdom of God is what we need more than anything. In Jesus is all the wisdom we need for life and godliness.
