Good morning brother,
Topic: Practice love through patience.
Read Book: Ninth Letter - Letter to a Sister.
Thoughts:
Think of God
How does this letter say we can obtain God’s help? How can you think more about God?
”Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.“
1 Chronicles 16:11
The Holy Spirit produces patience.
”being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.“
Philippians 1:6
Patience requires a heart of thankfulness
Patience is a quiet art form—the discipline to follow a structure we can't see. We don't explain it as it is different for everyone, but what we deny ourselves is the overwhelming sensations that the World freely gives us if we leave our doors open.
”And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.“
Romans 8:28
”Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.“
1 Peter 4:8
”All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.“
Isaiah 64:6
“Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.”
Mark 13:33
”But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.“
Galatians 5:22-23
”Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.“
Galatians 5:25
”You, therefore, have no excuse, you who pass judgment on someone else, for at whatever point you judge another, you are condemning yourself, because you who pass judgment do the same things. Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment? Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness is intended to lead you to repentance? But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God’s wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God “will repay each person according to what they have done.”“
Romans 2:1-6
”To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger.“
Romans 2:7-8
Thank you for another great day of Zoom Battle Prayer.
