Good morning brother,
Topic: In Psalm 1, life is like a way or a road. The man that walks on the way with God becomes happy. The end is heaven. The enemy of God walks on a different road. He will never be really happy. The end is not heaven, but a very bad place that we call hell.
Thoughts:
1. Learn Psalm 1:3 by heart. Think about it when you cannot sleep. ("By heart" means that you can say the words without looking at them.)
2. Make sure that you are on the way to heaven. Tell God that you are sorry that you broke his rules. God calls this 'sin'. Ask God to forgive you (forgive means give away: God gives your sin to Jesus, who carries it away). Ask God to make you into a new person. Ask God to give you the water that Jesus is offering to you. Ask God for help to keep his rules. Ask for the fruit of the Holy Spirit to grow in you.
“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers. Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.”
Psalms 1:1-6
Good morning Brothers, We invite you to become part of Men’s Giving with Zoom Battle Prayer. We believe God is working miracles in and through us. The Bible says Elijah was fed by Ravens everyday (twice a day). He was also fed by Zarephath and her son with there last . God will never ask us to do anything he hasn’t already made a way for. Join us in giving. http://spot.fund/c9qdvsc (http://spot.fund/c9qdvsc) God will bless you.
For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.””
Romans 10:10-11
I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.”
Malachi 3:6
“I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:3-6
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.””
Revelation 21:3-4
If someone does not do what wicked people tell him to do, if he does not join with sinners, if he does not meet with those who laugh at God, God has blessed that person! He is happy when he obeys the Law of the Lord. He thinks about God's Law during the day and at night. He will become like a tree that grows beside streams of water. It gives its fruit at the right season. Its leaves do not fall off. Everything that person does will have a good result. But wicked people are as empty as chaff. The wind blows them away. So they will not go free when God judges them. Sinners cannot join with God's people, the people who are right with God. The Lord takes care of people who respect him. But wicked people are living in a way that will take them to a bad end.”
Psalms 1:1-6
“BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night. [Rom. 13:8-10; Gal. 3:1-29; II Tim. 3:16.] And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]. [Jer. 17:7, 8.] Not so the wicked [those disobedient and living without God are not so]. But they are like the chaff [worthless, dead, without substance] which the wind drives away.
“Therefore the wicked [those disobedient and living without God] shall not stand [justified] in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous [those who are upright and in right standing with God]. For the Lord knows and is fully acquainted with the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly [those living outside God's will] shall perish (end in ruin and come to nought).”
“You conceive chaff, you bring forth stubble; your breath is a fire that consumes you.”
Isaiah 33:11
“Therefore I will scatter you like chaff driven away by the wind from the desert.”
Jeremiah 13:24
“O my God, make them like whirling dust, like stubble or chaff before the wind!”
Psalm 83:13
