Good morning brother,
Topic: Discipline of Tongue
Prayer verses: James 1:26, Proverbs 12:18, James 3:8, Eph. 4:29, 1 Peter 3:10, Psalm 141:3, Matt. 12:36-37
Thoughts:
“If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless” (James 1:26). The true test of a man’s spirituality is not his ability to speak, but rather his ability to bridle his tongue! Offered to God on the altar, the tongue has awesome power for good. There must be an ongoing prayerfulness and resolve to discipline ourselves: “Who keeps the tongue doth keep his soul.”

“Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.”

Prayer for the Tongue
Holy Father of creation and eternal life, I ask for Your forgiveness and mercy for all of my sins, transgressions, and iniquities that I have committed. I believe my tongue has the power of life and death, blessings and curses, according to the eternal truth of Your word. I repent for the words of my mouth, and the sword of my tongue that has offended You with slander, gossip, lying, exaggeration, coarse jesting, perverseness, cussing, curses, manipulation, deception, wrath, bitterness, hurt, harshness, selfishness, pride, arrogance, and anything else that I have spoken.

05:23:09 From Juan Wyatte to Everyone:
I break every curse that has proceeded from my mouth, upon myself or others, that has established ungodly labels, in Jesus’ name. Please wash my tongue with the blood of Christ, and remove all bitterness; putting a guard over my mouth as I exchange my serpent tongue for a righteous tongue. Cause my tongue to build up and edify with wisdom, knowledge, and encouraging words. Grant me a tongue of love, purity, and healing. Bridle my tongue for Your glory and allow living water to flow from my mouth putting out all fires from the evil one, nullifying his deadly poison.
05:23:27 From Juan Wyatte to Everyone:
I decree my mouth is the altar for the sacrifice of praise, worship, and the sword of the Spirit. I yield my tongue to the Holy Spirit: to speak the cause and purpose of His will, defend the people of truth, destroy the deceptive lies, comfort the brokenhearted, and rescue the backslider. Grant my mouth to be a ready writer of dimensional revelation and declaration of strategy, warning, encouragement, love, and the deep things of God. I choose this day life, forgiveness, and joy to proceed from my mouth. I ask this all in Jesus’ name. Amen.
