Good morning brother
Day two: Ephesians Chapter 2
2:1-10 Salvation by grace
2:11-22 Jews and Gentiles are united in Christ
Thoughts: What is Salvation by grace? Are you holding on to your past? What are is your present life like? Our future life? What were the Gentiles were without Christ? We are one body and one building.
“Remember how you lived before. You did wrong things and bad things. As a result, you were dead in your spirits. You lived in a bad way, like the people who belong to this world. You were obeying Satan, who rules the powerful spirits in the air. Those spirits are working now in everyone who refuses to obey God. At one time, all of us lived like those people. We did whatever bad things our bodies wanted to do. If our thoughts made us want to do something, we did it. Because we were like that, God was angry with us. He should have punished us, just like everyone else.”
Ephesians 2:1-3
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. James 1:22-24
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ.”
2 Corinthians 1:3-5
He loves us, regardless of the sinners we used to be. He Loves Us.
Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:17-20
But once we know His love we need to live in His and thru His love. This means that we have to learn and Forgive and give Grace. Live a life of Sacrifice.
Patrick I had the same water flood experience on the highway. Not the same though!!! Same thing. He showed me and demonstrated His love to me in a way that is indescribable.
Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Thank you Lord for loving each one of us the way You Can only do.
Let Him refine us…even thru the pruning and fires. Let Him straighten us out and then let Him shoot us out.
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.”
1 John 2:1-2
So now, you Gentiles are not strangers among God's people any more. You belong to the group of God's people that he rules. You belong to God's family, as all God's people do. You are like a house that God is building for himself. God's apostles and his prophets are like the foundation under the house. Jesus Christ is like the most important stone in the house. He makes the whole building stand together strongly. In that way, all God's people together become like a special house that belongs to the Lord. Because you belong to Christ, God is building you all together to become his house. That is where God lives by his Spirit.”
Ephesians 2:19-22
The enemy works in those who chose not to obey God.
We were once deceived because we didn’t know the truth.
Every day we are to humble ourselves to hear the truth.
Born in sin and shaped in iniquity.
LORD help me to keep an eye on your kindness.
Your very words give life to others because of the life of Christ in you.
We are the object of the LORDs affection.
Grace is like water splashing all in you.
A civil engineer knows how important a square foundation is. Jesus is our cornerstone.
We are members of Gods household.
A temple can only build as we share.
Sometimes The LORD raises leaders for purity and to be light in the darkness.
God is building you together with Christ into a house where God lives by his Spirit.’ The people whom God builds together are Jews and Gentiles. Jesus Christ is the most important stone. He holds together both groups of stones. In him, they grow together. They can grow because they are like living stones (1 Peter 2:5). They come to Christ. Then God builds them together. They will be like a house where God himself will live.
The Jews believed that God lived in the centre of the Temple. But God is so great that we cannot contain him in a building. The whole universe, the sun and all the stars in space cannot contain him. The central part of the Temple was the Most Holy Place. In it there was a clear, bright light. It showed that God was near.
God did not make the new building out of stones. All the people together are the family of God. This is the church. It is present in every age. It is all over the world. The church is the home of God. Christ’s *church is living and growing.
Thank you for another great day of Zoom Battle Prayer.
