Good morning brother,
Day one: God speaks to us through Scripture. God speaks through gifted teachers whose source is the Bible.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17.
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully” (Romans 12:6-8
But the Ten Commandments law should not be a means of attaining righteousness rather only to bring the sinner to Christ for cleansing.
For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. Isaiah 41:13
Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
Psalms 27:14
The Law Was Our Tutor”
Paul wrote, “But before faith came, we were kept under guard by the law, kept for the faith which would afterward be revealed. Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor” (Galatians 3:23-25).
In those days, rich families had slaves. Some of the slaves would look after the young children in the rich family. The slaves took the children to the children’s teachers. And the slaves guarded the children on the way. The slaves also trained and controlled the children. When the child became an adult, he did not need the slave any more. The slave did not control the adult child. Paul said that the *Jewish law was like the slave. It taught people how to behave. It controlled people’s behaviour until Christ came. But the law could not give people a right relationship with God. Only Jesus Christ can do that.
Verse 25
The law had a purpose in the past that would not last. When people trust Christ, the purpose of the law ends. The Christians in Galatia thought that they also should obey the law. They thought that this would help them to make more progress. But Paul had clearly explained that this was wrong. People are free from the law’s power when they trust Christ.
Reading the word helps us see Jesus as LORD and friend.
Then you call on the name of your god, and I will call on the name of the Lord. The god who answers by fire—he is God.” Then all the people said, “What you say is good.””
1 Kings 18:24
“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
1 Timothy 1:15-17
Help us LORD, not just to be hearers but doers.
Give us discernment and knowledge LORD.
LORD give us the continual desire to say yes.
Ask God to reveal himself through Scripture.
Approach Gods word as truth.
Gospel is our basis for truth. God has perfect alignment in his word.
Teaching is a necessary and valuable part of life. We come into this world ignorant, and we must be taught: language proficiency, motor skills, cultural norms, social customs, manners, moral values—all these and more are the product of the learning process of childhood. Since teaching is a key element in acquiring information and developing knowledge, it is not surprising that the Bible has much to say about teaching.
We must come to the Bible as absolute truth.
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.””
John 8:32
Write down what God has put on your heart.
If it is not written it just whispers. We must share with each other.
The Holy Spirit brings to remembrance as we read the word daily.
Pastors are teachers to us. Believers can teach each other.
The day is coming when teaching will be unnecessary: “No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest” (Hebrews 8:11; cf. Jeremiah 31:34). In the day when we see Jesus face to face, we will know even as we are known (1 Corinthians 13:12).
The Bible also has warnings about hypocritical teaching (Matthew 23:3; Romans 2:21) and false teaching (Acts 20:28–31; 1 Timothy 6:3–4). In fact, whole books of the Bible are devoted to countering false teaching in the early church (2 Peter and Jude). “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1). The test for any teaching is whether or not it aligns with the teaching of Jesus and the apostles.
Throughout the Bible you see words such as "hear", "My voice", "Listen". If that doesn't tell us that He is speaking to us, then I'm not what will. The key is to be tuned in, like a radio frequency. It may not be audible, and typically is not. After all, He is after you heart, so that's where He will speak to you.
So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-13
Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, Ephesians 6:14

As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.”
1 John 2:27
Not many of you should become teachers, my fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.”
James 3:1
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
John 14:6
Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.””
John 8:32
Teaching is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit. “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift . . . is teaching, then teach” (Romans 12:6–7). In this context, teaching refers to the God-given ability to explain God’s Word; the teacher has the supernatural ability to clearly instruct and communicate knowledge, specifically the doctrines of the faith and truths of the Bible (1 Corinthians 12:27–29).
Teaching is a requirement for pastors: “Now the overseer is to be . . . able to teach” (1 Timothy 3:2; cf. 2 Timothy 2:24). The Bible instructs the pastor to teach sound doctrine based on the written Word of God: “Command and teach these things” (1 Timothy 4:11). Those who are taught by the pastor are then to continue the process of disseminating information: “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others” (2 Timothy 2:2). Note here that the gospel is “entrusted” to us, and that teachers of the gospel must be “qualified”—part of the qualification is that we be “reliable.”
Thank you for another great day of Zoom Battle Prayer.
