Day three topic: Do Not Listen To God
1 Kings (22:15-28)
We have to tell people what God says. We cannot tell people what they want to hear. This is hard but it must be done. If you want to destroy your life, do not listen to what God says. Let the word of the Lord be an empty formality to you. Ahab allows the word of the Lord to effectively go in one ear and out the other. What Ahab fails to understand is that God’s laws and messages are given for his good. It is disaster to him because he will not listen to what God says. But we often do not look at God’s laws in this way. Thoughts: You reap what you sow. Gods word never comes back in void. God cannot be mocked. His Word never fails, even in the midst of evil and destruction. We want to do what is right in our own eyes.

Trust in the LORD in your heart. Your heart is the point of entry so that we can live out obedience to God.
Make plans without God first and then asking for blessing is a recipe for disaster.
David never lost a battle because he always consulted the LORD.
If we have already made up our mind on something it’s hard to take time to hear from the LORD.
Amazing how when God wants us to go right and we go left. Our own flesh and desires leads us away from God.
Too much pride and torque and you strip the bolt. Listen and allow the LORD finish the job and your human error to get in the way.
The earlier you allow God in the process of something the better things will turn out.
Give us humbleness to listen to your voice God!
We as men tend to be prideful. We need to be humble and just pray.
Bring the smallest things to God. He wants to help you with the little things.
Create in me a Clean Heart ❤️, O GOD; and renew a Right Spirit within Me. Cast me not away from Thy Presence; and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me The Joy of Thy Salvation; and uphold me with Thy Free Spirit. Psalm 51:10-12 KJV 📖
Abraham and Lot came to this land at the same time. They had the same God. Abraham listened to God, and he was blessed. His family increased. Last week, we learned that God promised Abraham as many children as there are stars in the sky! But sadly, Lot did not listen. His wife died, and his 2 daughters made TERRIBLE choices even after they fled the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Application: We all have choices everyday. Will we choose to listen to God? Do we want God’s blessing or His punishment? We will be blessed when we TRUST and OBEY God.
Whoever is of God hears the words of God. The reason why you do not hear them is that you are not of God.”
My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; yes, if you call out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.
And he said to them, “Pay attention to what you hear: with the measure you use, it will be measured to you, and still more will be added to you.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.
Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.
Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.
Thank you for another great day of Zoom Battle Prayer.
