Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Since we are cleansed from our old sins we must continue to increase in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We must be diligent in pursuit of God. Let us not be so shortsighted that we eventually become blind to the works of the Lord in us and around us. We start our born again experience with faith. God is growing in us His holy character and its being built on trusting Jesus and dedicating your life to being His disciple. With faith as your foundation add to it virtue. A moral goodness that reflect the heart of Christ. Meaning we must desire to stay pure, keep yourself unstained by the world. Jesus is our moral compass and His desires for us is the direction in life we pursue. Add to your virtue spiritual knowledge. Growing in Grace through personal relationship with Christ. Desire deeper things in God. Then add self control. Yes we need to learn to control our own feelings and desires by the power of the Holy Spirit. Then add perserverance. It's a sign of growth when you are patient and able to humble yourself in the things that took you down before. Then added to this is Godliness everything we do we reflect His Glory. Next add brotherly kindness, care for your neighbor in need. Lastly add love. True Godly love is impossible to bear without all the others mentioned earlier. The love of Christ is the glue that holds us together standing as a temple for our Lord. If you are pursuing these things then you are bearing fruit in your life. Meditate 2 Peter 1:5-9
