Oh To Be Wise Meditations
I am imperfect, and while I sometimes get angry, I must take care that I do not sin in my anger. When I am angry I need to reflect and see if I am upset with the things God is angry at. If not, I am giving the enemy an opportunity to mess with my life. Anger is a strong emotion that is prone to sinful abuse. Even with good intentions at first it can turn into bitterness and malice. Many hearts are hardened by sin and it makes no sense to chisel it down with your pride. Lets be humble and let patience do its perfect work. Forgiveness is a chokehold to evil, and mercy is the amount of force you should apply. Yes, you defeat evil with good because that is how Jesus saved the world. Evil should anger us to action instead of staying content in hypocrisy. I cannot overlook sin, but I can try to imitate Christ. Jesus displayed righteous anger to stir repentance in the hearts of mankind. He did not come to condemn the world but to save it. Lord, when my anger comes in like a flood, damn up the areas that I leak unrighteousness. Use my godly anger for your righteous cause. Righteous anger is a sharp pitchfork that God uses to separate the wheat from the tares.
