Oh To Be Wise Meditations

For the sun rises with its scorching heat and dries up the grass; its flower falls off, and its beautiful appearance is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will wither away while pursuing his activities. Yes, a person goes about like a mere shadow. Indeed, they rush around in vain, gathering possessions without knowing who will get them. By the power of your hand, O LORD, destroy those who look to this world for their reward. But satisfy the hunger of your treasured ones. May their children have plenty, leaving an inheritance for their descendants. It is so easy to become envious of the arrogant and of the prosperity of the wicked. Let me satisfied with with the desires of Christ and riches it provides. Substance and things come and go but the Holy Spirit will never run out.
