Proverbs of a 37 yr old man
Go ahead, have a godly conversation. Bring out the good things of the good that Christ is storing in you. Things like godly words that encourage and multiply compassion, and avoiding careless words that stab like a sword. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you may know how you ought to answer each person. Also, stay away from foolish arguments. If you answer a silly question, you are just as silly as the person who asked it. Have love for the truth of God's word, so that you will be able to share the truth in love. Lastly, this is the key to having a great and godly conversation: Speak less and listen more. Better to have a flow of different perspectives, especially when their are numerous people, than to drown out fervor and inspiration with your many words. Advice is better than lecture. Trying to understand is better than opinion. And integrity is greater than gossip. Ask Jesus to guide you into godly conversations. Say, take control of what I say, O LORD, and guard my lips. Amen.
