A Humble Beginning

Good morning Brothers, Happy Friday! God loves you. I love you. Praise God for bringing you to the end of another week. Take a moment to thank God for his grace and guidance throughout this year. 6 more days till Christmas! Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.(Isaiah‬ ‭7‬:‭14‬). Let’s sing, My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus’ blood and righteousness. I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus’ name. On Christ the solid rock I stand; all other ground is sinking sand, all other ground is sinking sand. Today’s verse is from Luke 1:35. The angel answered, The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Jesus went from being one with the Father in Heaven, powerful and supreme, to willingly taking on a human beginning, being born as an infant inherently dependent on others. Such humility marked His life and ministry. He did not come to topple governments but, by His loving sacrifice, topple sin by taking on a human life and then giving it up of His own accord. The Son of God. Mary's son. God's perfect plan made manifest at last. Humility. It marked Him from the beginning. God is still working miracles today.
