Friday morning zoom Battle Prayer is on! First Friday hour of prayer! Let’s do this! New week, with same great theme and topic. Come join with brothers in Christ and let’s grow together in the knowledge of Jesus. The LORD is raising up men that understand the times they are living in and want to pursue stronger relationship with God and each other.
This new week we are starting a new series.
Overall Theme: Unrestrained passions
Topics: Sin in the heart. God has to prune for victory. First Friday hour of prayer.
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. Titus 2:11-14
At the heart of so many sins are unrestrained passions. These desires are not controlled by the individual and certainly are not controlled by the Spirit. Such free-wheeling passions arise from sin (Romans 6:12; 7:5). These human passions are not simply controlled, they are destroyed in Christ.
There are things in life that are good for food, desirable to look at, and can make you wise and insightful. But it will kill you! Without God your moral compass is useless.
