God’s Rhythm to Bless Us

Good morning Brothers, Happy Saturday! God loves you. I love you. Praise God for waking you up this beautiful Sabbath morning. With a couple days left on break, I pray for safety and a renewed spirit for all the students and teachers heading back to school next Monday or Tuesday. Right now take a moment to thank God for this rest. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. (Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬).Let’s sing, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, there’s just something about that name, Master, Saviour my Jesus, like the fragrance after the rain, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, Let all heaven and earth proclaim! Kings and kingdoms shall all pass away, but there’s something about that name! Today’s verse is from Mark 2:27. Then he said to them, The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. If the God who designed us says we need a day off, shouldn't we listen? Sabbath-rest is God's rhythm to bless us, not God's requirement to burden us. Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath. He's the maker and fulfiller of all God's good rules, and He knows that regular rest is one of the rhythms that leads to an abundant life. We weren't made to serve a strict sabbath schedule, but sabbath was made to serve us to help maintain healthy service. Set an example to others by trusting God and honoring the Sabbath! God loves you. Have a blessed day.
