Nourishment That Lasts

Lord, please show me every day, as you’re teaching me your way, and I’ll do just what you say in your time. In your time, in your time, You make all things beautiful, in your time. Lord, my life to you I bring, may each song I have to sing, be to you a lovely thing, In your time! Today’s verse is from John 6:35. Then Jesus declared, I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. This world offers empty calories, but only Jesus can satisfy the hunger in our souls. We can search for fulfillment in our work and relationships, as well as in money, fame, power, sex, achievement, and adventure. But it all results in emptiness-like chasing after the wind. So let's not follow Jesus merely for what He has to offer, but for who He is. Let's realize that this world will never satisfy, but we already have access to true nourishment.
